“Digital marketing is a living project that you have to continuously nurture to get the results you’re looking for.” ~Cassandra Bryan, Creative Director and Founder of cb{d} Cassandra Bryan Design.
AMA Wichita is honored to still bring quality marketing-focused educational content in a safe, accessible way. And the May virtual event with Cassandra Bryan was no exception.
Cassandra is the Creative Director and Founder of cb{d} Cassandra Bryan Design. They are a full service digital creative agency serving the Wichita-area.
Cassandra started her presentation by displaying the importance of Search Engine Marketing and how to win in the digital age.
She shared with us that right now, Google Ads are the best way to make sure your business is making it to the top of the results page, followed by your free Google My Business page, and then SEO-focussed web page content. She carefully explained each detail of these important digital marketing facets, and how your company can easily rank at the top.
She reminded us to continually test and optimize ads and landing pages for best results. To understand the results, you can view reports on these ads and web pages with Google Analytics. Analytics allows you access anytime, lets you set up automated email reports, and gives you insights and advice on your ads.
Next, she jumped straight into social media marketing, the big buzz around the marketing world right now. She shared hard-hitting numbers like the fact that 3.2 billion people (42% of the population) use social media daily – I was shocked!
But just because so many people use it daily, does that mean your business should be posting daily? Cassandra says no. Posting 1-2 posts per week (1-4 a month for YouTube) on your business social media account is sufficient.
Staying relevant and posting quality over quantity is the way to wow on social media. You don’t want your followers to drown you out, so post what they want to interact with. You can also use social ads to help reach and engage your audience.
Cassandra then took the time to fully answer all the questions that came in throughout the presentation via Twitter and the live chat. And let me tell you, questions were flooding in from marketers hungry to find answers to navigate this heavily, digital-focused marketing era.
Thank you, Cassandra, for sharing these great tips and sharing these important insights during a time when we’ve never needed them more.
