Education

Degree in communication, public relations, marketing, or business. Related experience may be considered as part of the requirements.

Work Experience

Ideal candidate must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite with five years of marketing experience preferred. Preference will be given to candidate with nonprofit and/or retail marketing experience.

Special Skills and Knowledge

Experience in developing marketing initiatives to support short term and long term organizational goals required. Must demonstrate knowledge of traditional marketing principals through varied mediums with ability to evaluate effectiveness of campaigns. Experience in website maintenance, electronic communication tools, social media required – knowledge of SEO a plus. Innovative thinker must track current marketing trends and determine usefulness for Goodwill. Must be a strategic thinker with ability to handle multiple projects to service needs of organization. Experience in desktop publishing and graphic design. Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Must have knowledge of print and bulk mail procedures. Presentation and public speaking experience helpful. Must have the ability to serve as event photographer and be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Some overnight travel as necessary.
