Communications and Events Manager

Supports all fundraising and community engagements of the Wichita Children’s Home to include communications, special events and Development Department efforts. Responsibility for overall communications, including marketing, social media, website, data visualizations, media relations and all other communications needs. This role also provides year-round leadership and logistical support in the planning, implementation, coordination and evaluation of WCH fundraising events. As an integral member of the development team, this position will support all development efforts with responsibility for relationship building and fundraising for the Wichita Children’s Home.


Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or university; degree in communications preferred, two plus years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.


The work hours are generally 8-5:30 Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends. Special events and November to January will require additional hours.
